Local mini-mart dubbed ‘Knife Capitol of the South’
December 4, 2013Nominations are being accepted for three of the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce’s awards to be given at its Jan. 16 banquet.
The general public is asked to nominate individuals for the Frank Kennedy Citizen of the Year Award, Teenager of the Year and Music’s Unsung Hero awards. The deadline to nominate someone is Dec. 13.
The Frank Kennedy Citizen of the Year recognizes a person’s significant contributions to the city or area. The top teen award is presented to a Thibodaux High or E.D. White High senior in recognition of his or her outstanding achievements. And the Unsung Hero Award, presented by C. Lindy and Mary Ann Delaune Hoffman, is given to an individual for their involvement promoting music in Thibodaux.
