A Gainesville, Ga., ministry has combined biblical principles of money management with a fast-pace format to help residents become financially free.


Senior pastors Dr. Jules and the Rev. Deborah Boquet, of the Crown Financial Ministries team, will lead the March 24 seminar, which is designed to enlighten participants on the principal’s of handling money through the word of God.

Harvest Cathedral Ministries, 1224 Museum Drive in Houma, will host the seminar. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Speakers will be on hand to discuss biblical principal of managing resources like saving, debt management and setting priorities. A Harvest Cathedral ministry representative said they want to rid people of the social pressures that result in decisions that prevent them from experiencing God’s best for their lives.


The guest speakers will show practical steps to establish a plan to properly manage resources. A Crown Financial Ministry spokesman said there are three areas that cause the most problems for the American family, and they want to show the resident how to successfully manage each one.

Participants will receive information on practical steps to avoid or eliminate debt, and how to make the information become an ongoing part of one’s life.

The seminar is open to everyone regardless of age or income.

Organized by Larry Burkett and Howard Dayton in 1985, Crown Financial Ministries is a Christ-centered, Bible-based ministry whose core values include recognizing God’s ownership of all things, the need to pray about everything and the desire to equip and serve others with excellence while teaching in ways understood by all cultures and generations.

The ministry has a goal to teach God’s financial principal to 300 million people by September of 2015.
