Frost Lumber Company will receive the Business of the Year honor at the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce’s 41st annual Awards Banquet Jan. 10.


The 125-year-old lumber facility was named the chamber’s top business for 2007, the board of directors announced last week.

In addition, Louisiana Coca Cola will be awarded the Member of the Year award.


Billy and Sandra King will receive the C. Lindy and Mary Anne Delaune Hoffmann’s Music’s Unsung Hero Award.


The 2007 Teenager of the Year will be presented to Katie Benoit, a senior at Thibodaux High School. And the 2007 Frank Kennedy Citizen of the Year award will be presented to Jake Giardina.

Other awards to be presented – the recipients of which were not announced – include the Chairman’s Award, President’s Award and Ambassador of the Year.

The banquet will be held at Cypress Columns in Gray. It will begin at 6 p.m. with a social hour; the program starts at 7 p.m.

U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu will serve as the guest speaker at the banquet.
