LaFleur named MidSouth Bank site manager


Kristin LaFleur has been named retail store manager at MidSouth Bank’s Thibodaux location at 205 N. Canal St.


The Schriever native is in charge of running the day-to-day operations of the branch and will also develop new business throughout the Lafourche Parish market.

LaFleur has a decade of retail management experience. She’s previously served as store manager for American Eagle Outfitters for six years, and worked as a purchasing agent for a local procurement firm.


Stanley named TRMC PT assistant


Patricia Stanley is the latest physical therapy assistant to join Thibodaux Regional Medical Center’s outpatient rehabilitation staff.

A graduate of Delgado Community College of New Orleans’ applied science program, Stanley has been a practicing physical therapy assistant for more than 13 years. She has worked with the neurologically impaired and geriatric population.


Ellender TRMC’s newest orthopaedic


Dr. Patrick R. Ellender, an orthopaedic sports medicine physician, has joined Thibodaux Regional Medical Center’s staff.

He recently formed a practice with Drs. David Elias and Jason Higgins.


Ellender received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He performed his orthopaedic surgical residency at Louisiana State University’s department of orthopaedic surgery in New Orleans. Additionally, he completed an orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard department of orthopaedic surgery in Boston.


Ellender specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopy and general orthopaedic.

DeMoss joins TRMC staff


Pathologist Richard DeMoss, M.D., has joined Thibodaux Regional Medical Center’s staff.


DeMoss received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He performed his residency at Tulane University Medical Center.

The American Board of Pathology certified DeMoss in anatomic and clinic pathology. He is also a fellow of the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the College of American Pathologists.


Prejeant named TRMC’s ER clinical director

Darcy Prejeant, R.N., has been named clinical director of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center’s emergency department.

A graduate of Nicholls State University’s nursing program, Prejeant has more than 28 years of experience in healthcare. She began her nursing career at Thibodaux Regional working on the med/surg unit. She’s also served as the unit’s coordinator, nurse educator and interim clinical director.

Prejeant has also been assigned an information system clinical analyst and master black belt in quality resource management at the hospital.

Most recently, she served as interim clinical director of TRMC’s emergency department.

Wood named TRMC director of materials management

Ron Wood has been named Thibodaux Regional Medical Center’s director of materials management.

A 12-year healthcare veteran, Wood earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Clarion State University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in business administration from St. Bonaventure University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Most recently, he served as associate vice president of resource management and director of materials management at Natchez Regional Medical Center in Natchez, Miss.

Duet named TGMC pharmacy services director

Cindy Duet, R.Ph., has been named Terrebonne General Medical Center’s director of pharmacy services.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Louisiana Monroe, Duet joined TGMC’s staff. She started as a staff pharmacist and advanced to a clinical pharmacist and, later, pharmacy manager.

In all, Duet has worked at TGMC for 22 years.

“I am excited and thrilled to begin this new chapter in my professional life at TGMC,” she said. “I look forward to using my experience and skills to continuing to serve the community in which I was born and raised.”

Lloyd named associate at M. Bergeron + Co

Amy Lloyd, CPA, has been named an associate at M.Bergeron + Co., a Houma-based accounting and professional services firm.

A 2001 Nicholls State University graduate, Lloyd was licensed as CPA in 2003. She services the firm’s tax and accounting clients, including corporate and individual taxes, financial reporting and attest work.
