Hebert named to TGMC commissioners board


Morris P. Hebert is Terrebonne General Medical Center’s newest board of commissioners’ member.


President and CEO of Morris P. Hebert Inc. in Houma, he is a licensed professional land surveyor in four states and is an ACSM board-certified inshore and offshore hydrographer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Nicholls State University.

Hebert is a member of several professional organizations, including the state Society of Professional Surveyors, where he served as president; the Louisiana Engineering Society; American Congress on Surveying and Mapping; National Society of Professional Surveyors and National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.


Locally, he is a member of the South Central Industrial Association and Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce. His civic affiliations include American Legion Post 31 and the First Special Service Force Association.


Hebert is past chairman and an emeritus member of the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Surveying Board; Synergy Bank chairman of the board and a founding member; Catholic Social Services board of directors; and the Terrebonne Economic Development Authority board of directors.

Dr. Maki earns sports medicine certification


Dr. Neil Maki, a Thibodaux orthopaedic surgeon, has received a subspecialty certificate in orthopaedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons (ABOS), making him the first Tri-parish physician to do so.


A board-certified orthopaedic surgeon since 1981, Maki had to first qualify for the exam by submitting case studies of all sports medicine patients he treated for one year. The vigorous written exam followed.

Maki is an active member of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center’s medical staff, a clinical professor of orthopaedic surgery at Louisiana State University Medical School and a team physician for the Nicholls State University athletic program.


Minton named TRMC physician practice management director


Maxine Minton has been hired as Thibodaux Regional Medical Center’s physician practice management director.

A lifelong Thibodaux resident, Minton earned a bachelor’s degree in 1980 from Nicholls State University. She has 27 years of management experience, 24 of which have been in the health care field.

Minton previously served as office administrator of Family Doctor Clinic in Thibodaux. She was also CEO of a management consulting company that she helped form in 2006.

Minton is certified as a medical practice executive by the American College of Certified Medical Practice Executives. She is a member of the Medical Group Management Association.

She and husband Chuck have two children, Charlie and Nikki.

Domangue joins TPT staff

Houma native Mike Domangue Jr. has joined the Tri-Parish Times & Business News sales team.

A 1995 graduate of Ellender Memorial High School, Domangue attended Nicholls State University after graduating. He studied business administration.

He is licensed in property and casualty, credit life, credit A&H and credit property insurances.

Prior to joining the Tri-Parish Times staff, Domangue was an indenpendent sales representative with Novo Print USA.

Domangue and his wife Kara are the parents of two children, Noah, 8, and Hannah, 4.

“We’re excited to have Mike on the team and expect he’ll make a big impact on sales,” Publisher Darrin Guidry said. “Mike understands the challenges business leaders face in today’s economy and will strive to help them reach their customers with their advertising messages.”

Domangue joins longtime staffer Harold Cancienne and Ingrid Chaisson on the Tri-Parish Times sales team.
