Bellow named TGMC Daisy Award recipient

Roberta Bellow, RN, CCRN, a nurse in Terrebonne General Medical Center’s Critical Care Unit, was honored in September for her feats. She was presented the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses.

The award is part of the Daisy Foundation’s program to recognize the “super-human” efforts nurses perform daily. Founded by Mark Barnes and his family in 1999, the foundation’s goal is to help fight diseases of the immune system.

“I am delighted and honored to receive this Daisy Award for exemplifying such intrinsic attributes of the nursing profession,” Bellow said. “I was just performing my duty to my patient under dire circumstances.”

Bellow is also an ACLS instructor for the hospital.
