The good times will roll on Feb. 17 at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center.

The Terrebonne Council on Aging announced that it will hold its 26th Annual Mardi Gras Social for Seniors from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on that date – an opportunity for local seniors to enjoy the Carnival spirit.

Tickets for the event are $3 per person, and they may be purchased at the Main Operations Center, located at 995 West Tunnel Boulevard or at the Terrebonne Council on Aging Senior Center.

According to event organizers, the event is a fun time for all – a chance for locals to show their fun-loving Mardi Gras spirit.

There will be refreshments, a bag lunch, desert and entertainment. The Krewe of Hercules will be on hand, and will promenade and throw beads to the guests in attendance.

The 2017 Grand Marshals of the event are New Orleans Saints legend Deuce McAllister, as well as Horace Trahan. Each will be given keys to the city by Parish President Gordon Dove, who is also slated to attend.

The culmination of the event is the crowning of new royalty, as the King and Queen of the Krewe of Ageless Dreams is announced at the end of the day.
