Nicholls has canceled all spring events including a scheduled live performance because of the novel coronavirus, Covid-19.

The President of Nicholls State University announced that Crawfish Day is canceled as well as all other Spring events, Friday, March 20.

Crawfish Day as well as all of the other fun events that were planned for the spring have been cancelled,” said Clune. “I know this is a very trying time for the entire Nicholls family, and I applaud each and every one of you for how you have handled change.

The computer lab in 101 Ayo Hall will be open for normal lab hours for students needing access to a computer or internet. This weekend, Ayo Lab will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. On Monday, March 23, we are limiting access to campus further for everyone’s health and safety.

Campus partners like Barnes and Noble are stepping up to help out by offering free access to eTextbooks, said Clune, and corporations like AT&T and Charter Spectrum are offering free broadband connectivity to students in need for a limited time.

Many resources will be available for students in the coming days and weeks. As they are available, we will keep you updated at nicholls.edu/emergency.
