Overturned vehicle result of two vehicle collision

On October 25, 2023, at approximately 0720hrs, the Houma Police Department received a distress call reporting a collision at the busy intersection of Grand Caillou Rd and Prospect Blvd., in which Officers were dispatched immediately.

The collision involved two vehicles, resulting in one of them overturning. Fortunately, the driver of the flipped vehicle sustained only minor injuries as a result of the crash. Prompt emergency medical care was provided, and the injured driver is expected to make a full recovery.

Upon arrival at the scene, the Houma Police Department initiated necessary protocols to secure the area and divert traffic, ensuring the safety of both drivers and pedestrians. The intersection remained closed for a brief period to facilitate the removal of vehicle debris, after which the roadway was reopened.
