Pearl Harbor event planned in Houma

The Regional Military Museum is hosting a program Sunday to memorialize the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day. The event will be held at the museum, 1154 Barrow St., in Houma.

A flyover by military aircraft will be held at 11:53 a.m., the local time of the Japanese attack. A 21-gun salute will mark the occasion.

Guest speakers include Brigadier Gen. Sam deGeneres (Ret.) and Major Gen. Gary Whipple (Ret.).

Hot dogs and soft drinks will be served.

The public is invited. Doors open at 10 a.m.
