With 2022 approaching, residents of Lafourche Parish may start prepping to set off fireworks in celebration of leaving 2021 behind. While the dazzling displays are fun for the entire family, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has provided a list of approved dates and times residents can purchase and discharge fireworks.

 

Beginning tomorrow, Dec. 15, fireworks can be bought, sold, and discharged in Lafourche Parish and the town of Lockport during the following dates and times.

 

Christmas Holiday rundown: 


December 15-23 ( 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.)

Christmas Eve ( 9 a.m. – midnight)

Christmas Day: 9 a.m. – midnight)


 

New Year’s Fireworks rundown:

December 26-30 (9 a.m. – 9 p.m.)

New Year’s Eve: 9 a.m. – 2 a.m.)


New Year’s Day (9 a.m. – midnight)

 

If you’re planning to celebrate the holidays with fireworks, LPSO is reminding residents that fireworks are not allowed in the city of Thibodaux or the Town of Golden Meadow, with the exception of Oak Ridge Park.
