There is a severe weather threat for all of Southeast Louisiana Thursday afternoon through Thursday night, according to the  National Weather Service in New Orleans.
The severe storms could bring wind gusts greater than 60 mph, large hail in excess of 1″ in diameter and a few tornadoes.

WHAT:
SLIGHT RISK of Severe Weather
WHEN:
Thursday afternoon through Thursday night.
WHERE:
All of Southeast Louisiana and Southern Mississippi.
CONFIDENCE:
We are confident that there will be thunderstorms across the area and that a few will be severe. We have less confidence in exactly where those severe storms will occur.
Impacts:
The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:
Wind gusts greater than 60 mph.
Large hail in excess of 1″ in diameter.
A few tornadoes.
