Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 364,853. That’s 3,712 more cases since yesterday. 322,565 are confirmed; 42,288 are probable.

 

Due to a data system issue, LDH will not update deaths on 1/15/2021. Yesterday’s data: The state is reporting 58 new deaths, bringing the total to 8,080 deaths. 7,631 are confirmed; 449 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 1/11/21 is 298,614, which is 18,241 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting, 7,309 cases. There are 5,920 confirmed and 1,389 probable. That’s 73 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 167 deaths; 159 are confirmed and 8 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6 is 11.80%, up 9.26% from the week prior, which was 10.80%. Incidence is 540.18.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 7,497 cases. There are 6,315 confirmed and 1,182 probable. That’s 56 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 161 deaths; 152 are confirmed and 9 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6 is 14.30%, down 10.63% from the week prior, which was 16.00%. Incidence is 528.73.

 

Statewide, there are 2,001 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 242 are on ventilators. That’s 26 more patients since yesterday, and 3 less on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 4,843,235, which is 38,033 more tests than yesterday. There are 4,551,140 molecular tests and 292,095 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 87,930 tests in Lafourche (79,534 molecular and 8,396 antigen) and 86,062 tests in Terrebonne (79,952 molecular and 6,110 antigen). That’s 777 more tests in Lafourche and 480 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
