A Houma teen blamed for a month-long rash of criminal damages to several homes in the northern part of the city was arrested Wednesday, Houma Police said.

Lt. Todd Duplantis said a 13-year-old boy partly responsible for the crimes was arrested, and several more arrests are expected in connection with the case.

Between early December and Jan. 5, Houma Police received 14 reports of criminal damages, ranging from spray painting houses and mailboxes, to breaking windows, cutting tires and scratching vehicles, Duplantis said.

The areas affected included Morrison, Brooklyn and Wright avenues and Pear and McKinley streets, he said.
