Terrebonne General Health System has announced the December Terrebonne Parish Outstanding Scholar & Distinguished Athletes!

The awards are presented to juniors and seniors from the seven accredited LOBE schools in Terrebonne Parish. Each recipient receives a $100 gift card from Copelands or Walk Ons which are partners of the Athlete and Scholar of the Month Program. The students also receive television ad promotion, radio ad promotion, print ad portion, and a plaque that is presented at the respective school’s yearly award banquet. Congratulations to Taylor Allen and Ryan Abadie on being honored with the December awards!

Outstanding Scholar of the Month Taylor Allen

Taylor is a senior from Covenant Christian Academy. The Honor Graduate and National Honor Society member has earned a 4.0 un-weighted GPA, and the Honor Roll President’s Award. She is a member BETA, and is the Football and Basketball Team Manager. Taylor was nominated by CCA Asst. Principal Troy Jackson.

She plans to attend college and study dentistry. Her role models are her parents because they have always worked hard in what they do, and Coach Jack because he has taught her to do her best in everything she does.

Outstanding Scholar of the Month Ryan Abadie

Ryan is a senior from Terrebonne High School. The Honor Graduate and National Honor Society member has earned a 4.02 weighted GPA, and a 27 on his ACT. He is a member BETA, Campus for Christ, and All District Soccer and Football. Ryan was nominated by Terrebonne High School Coach Tyler Lewis.


He plans to attend Nicholls State University to study dentistry, and specialize in orthodontics. His role models are his parents because they they keep him on the right track and keep him motivated.
