Daniel Lee “Mailman” Hollis 69, a native of Gilbert, LA and a resident of Thibodaux, LA, departed this life on December 23, 2023 at 6:25 PM.
The celebration of his life will be at 11:00 AM on January 5, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel 230 South Hollywood Road Houma, LA.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 22 years Earlene Jackson Hollis, his children, Lawanda Heckard (Monte Stewart) of Gilbert, LA, Calvin and Jordan Hollis both of Thibodaux, LA, Mary Bennett of Winnsboro, LA and Demetrise Francis of Lubbock, TX., eight sisters, Joe Ann Eaton (Morris) of Crowville, LA, Bobbie Jean Lemle (Jessie) of Wisner, LA, Betty Harrell (Arthur) of Winnsboro, LA, Diane Sims (Issec) of Winnsboro, LA, Carolyn Hollis of Bastrop, LA, Christina Hollis of Gilbert, LA, Mary and Lona Sasfras of McComb, Ms, six brothers, Elzie Hollis (Marie) of Gilbert, La, Daryl Hollis(Mortique) of Georgetown, TX, Isaac Hollis, Jr (Leonora) of Gilbert, LA, James Hollis (Sharron) of Winnsboro, LA, Balanzo Hollis (Camille) of Monroe, LA, and Darrius Sasfras of McComb, Ms., eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two godchildren, Devon Jackson and Chamaine Keller both of Thibodaux, LA. and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Hollis, Sr., and Cleo Hollis and one brother, Eddie Ray Hollis
