Terrebonne General Health System has announced the November Terrebonne Parish Outstanding Scholar & Distinguished Athletes!

The awards are presented to juniors and seniors from the seven accredited LOBE schools in Terrebonne Parish. Each recipient receives a $100 gift card from Copelands or Walk Ons which are partners of the Athlete and Scholar of the Month Program. The students also receive television ad promotion, radio ad promotion, print ad portion, and a plaque that is presented at the respective school’s yearly award banquet. Congratulations to Ragen Pontif and Gabriella Delgado on being honored with the November awards!


Outstanding Scholar of the Month Ragen Pontif

Ragan is a senior from Vandebilt Catholic High School. The Honor Graduate and National Honor Society member has earned a 4.0 un-weighted GPA. She also earned a 31 on her ACT. She is a member of the Student Government Association, Art Club and Vision 153. Ragan was nominated by VCHS Counselor Bliss Cunningham. She plans to attend college and study pre-law. Her role models are her parents because of all of the hard work they have put into her education.

Outstanding Scholar of the Month Gabriella Delgado


Gabriella is a senior from Houma Christian School. The Honor Student and National Honor Society member has earned a 4.25 GPA. She is a member of the National Honor Society, BETA Club, and FCA. Gabriella also earned All-District Track & Field, and All-State Cross Country honors, additionally she is a member of the HCS Volleyball and Basketball Teams. Gabriella was nominated by HCS Coach Sandy Charlet. Her role model is her brother Antonio Delgado because he always puts God first and has consistently helping her with her running career. She plans to attend college and study biology with a concentration in pre-med.
