The Times, Point of Vue earn high marks at Louisiana Press Association banquet

The Times of Houma-Thibodaux earned the Louisiana Press Association’s Newspaper of the Year Award today.

This marks the 9th straight year the publication has received the top honor in its division. The Times also received a sweepstakes award for advertising in its division.

Other newspapers receiving top honors were The Advocate, Baton Rouge; the Daily News, Bogalusa; The Plaquemines Gazzette, Belle Chasse; and the Southwest Daily News, Sulphur. 58 newspapers, publications and college/university newspapers across all divisions submitted 2,777 entries for consideration.
