Tammy Lynn Pellegrin, 46, of 188 Brien St., and Michael J. Marshall, 50, of 143 Prince Collins St., Houma, were arrested on drug charges last Tuesday morning, Houma Police reported.

Police spotted Pellegrin’s white Ford F-150 truck traveling on Columbus Street without its license plate illuminated. The officer conducted a traffic stop, during which he discovered an arrested warrant against the Houma woman for failing to return leased movables.

As the officer searched Pellegrin, he found a suspected crack pipe in her possession. Crack cocaine was found near the driver’s seat of the car. A K-9 unit recovered two red and white capsules, which were identified as time-released morphine, a Schedule II narcotic, authorities said.

Marshall, a passenger in the truck, had a clear bag of suspected marijuana in his possession.

Police charged Pellegrin with operating a vehicle with no license plate light, two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and cocaine and the warrant.

Marshall was charged with possessing cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
