Type O blood needed

Officials with Terrebonne General Medical Center have issued a request for blood donors while noting a shortage in Type O blood.

While all types of blood are needed, medical personnel confirm that Types A and O are generally in highest demand.

Those interested in donating blood at the TGMC Blood Center, located in the Medical Annex Building, must be at least 17 years old and 110 pounds. To schedule an appointment, donors may call (985) 873-4025 or (985) 873-4029.
