With weather causing the postponement of one parade last weekend, the eyes of local carnival krewe members are glued to their weather apps. The forecast is currently looking pretty damp with 80% chance on Friday, 90% chance on Saturday, then clearing to a range between 40-50% Sunday through Fat Tuesday.
The Times has spoken to representatives for the krewes of Aphrodite, Mardi Gras and Terreanians. All krewes have stated that it is too early to make a decision. The krewes of Aphrodite and Mardi Gras expect for their boards to meet with parish officials to make parade decisions no earlier than Thursday afternoon. The Krewe of Terreanians has plans to meet on Friday.
