Ada G. Aucoin, 78, a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Morgan City, La., died Friday, July 15, 2011.


Mrs. Aucoin enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting and pottery work. She also had a love for music and dancing. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. She was a great cook and a jokester.


She is survived by her son, Rudolph Aucoin Jr.; daughter, Barbara Ann Aucoin; sisters, Wilma (Charles) Cook and Dorina and Joyce Billiot; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Dorina Guidry; husband, Rudolph Aucoin Sr.; brother, Emile Guidry; and sisters, Rosemae Matherne and Ozema Comeaux.

Interment was at Morgan City Mausoleum. (Twin City)
