Adley J. Fanguy, 75, a native of Bayou Black, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, April 14, at 9:55 a.m.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Marie Williams and husband Kelly D. Williams of Dale City, Va. And Kathy Ann Churray of Houma; brother, Raymand Fanguy of Houma; sister, Rose F. Orgeron of St. Amant, La.; grandsons Kevin Michael Churray of Groton, Ct. and Marshal Ethan Williams of Dale City; and his beloved mother-in-law Olive LeBlanc of Houma.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell LeBlanc Fanguy; parents, Clarence Joseph Fanguy and Adele Pellegrin Fanguy; and brothers, Alma Fanguy, Andrew Fanguy and Floyd Fanguy.

He was a retired mechanic for Sears and later worked for Charlie Hammonds Seaplane Base. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 17, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, April 18, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin, La. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 18, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. He will be buried at St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
