Alan Joseph Authement, 57, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Bayou Blue, La., died Thursday, March 19.
He is survived by his wife, Debby Authement; son, Kenneth Paul Authement; daughter, Cassie Ann Bourg; mother, Nettie Thibodeaux Authement; sister, Anette Authement; brothers, Gary Authement, Danny Authement, Johnny Authement and Stephen Authement; and grandchildren, Dwayne Authement, Alexis Authement, Alexander Authement and Michael Bourg Jr.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Authement Jr.; and grandparents, Horace Authement Sr. and Liz Authement, and Isley Thibodeaux and Flossie Thibodeaux
He was a retired City of Houma policeman and owned a small trucking company.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday March 22, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday March 23, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church with burial at St. Louis Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
