Albert Earl “DeDe” Breaux, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and resident of Bayou Blue, La., died Monday, May 12, 2014.


Mr. Breaux retired after a long career with J. Ray McDermott. He worked on pipelines and rigs around the world including Alaska and Singapore. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Bayou Blue and was a past master of Unity Lodge No. 267 and a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his son, William (Beth) Breaux; daughters, Katherine (Stewart) Robison, Jenny Rauch, Carol Ann Breaux and Beverly (Carey) Vice; brother, Roy Jr. (Jewell) Breaux; 12 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Breaux; parents, Roy Sr. and Germaine Breaux; sister, Elsie Savoy; brothers, George Sr. and Robert Breaux; and son, John Breaux Sr.


Burial is at Daigle Memorial Cemetery. (Chauvin)
