Albertine Henry Dupre Fonseca, 77, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, September 2.

She is survived by three sons, Bobby Dupre and wife Lana Lirette Dupre of Bayou Blue, La., Carroll Dupre and wife Zella Farkas Dupre and Daniel Dupre of Chauvin; two daughters, Theresa Dupre Edens and husband Charles “Chuck” Edens of Houma, La., and Patty Dupre and husband Bert Dupre of Chauvin; one stepdaughter; one brother, Willard Paul Henry and wife Sandra Clark Henry of Houma; one sister, Barbara St. Pierre of Larose, La.; two sisters-in-law, Annabell Eschete Henry and Gardeline Scott Henry of Chauvin; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Joseph Dupre; her second husband, Hubert Paul Fonseca; her parents, Clovis Tourville Henry and Elda Benoit Henry; one son, Perry Dupre; and two brothers, Hyman Henry and Russell Henry.

She was a retired nurses aide at Leonard Chabert Medical Center and a member of the American Legion, VFW and Ladies Altar Society. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, September 26, at the Knights of Columbus Hall and 8 a.m. to 10a.m. Saturday, September 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.


Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
