T’bonne’s Bayou Grace helping locals succeed
February 9, 2010Alcee Joseph Dupre Sr., 91, a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes and resident of Montegut, died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010.
Mr. Dupre was retired from Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Noelia Naquin Dupre of Montegut; sons, Alcee Jr. (Donna) and Steven (Stacey), all of Pointe-aux-Chenes; daughter, Melinda (Carl) Verdin of Pointe-aux-Chenes; brothers, Lenais of Pointe-aux-Chenes, Freddie of Marrero, and Emery Dupre of Grand Caillou; grandchildren, Mary (Alton) Verdin, Steven Jr. (Christine), Gavin and Andrea Dupre, Carl Jr. and Justin Verdin; step-grandchildren, Francis T-Jim (Jackie), Joey (Gretchen) and Buster Buck Naquin and Courtney Verdin; great-grandchildren, Abigail Verdin and Rhiley Dupre; and step-great-grandchildren, Hunter Naquin, Kaylee Naquin, Braylon Naquin, Coby Dupre, Tyler McElroy, Hayden Naquin, Loukas Naquin, Peijah Naquin, Dustin Verdin, Meagan Verdin, Kali Verdin, Jayla Verdin, Cole Verdin and Corbin Verdin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andre and Julia Neil Dupre; brothers, Paul and Leroy Dupre; sisters, Cynthia Dupre, Emily Dupre, Agnes Rodrigue, Dorina Jervais and Delma LeBouef; and step-grandchild, Pamala Naquin.
He is buried at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery.
