Graham Frank, 5, of Houma, wasn’t deterred by a blown transformer at Books-A-Million Friday night. The young boy and his mother, Regina, waited among the faithful for 12:01 a.m. when the seventh – and final – book in the popular J.K. Rowling’s "Harry Potter" series went on sale. Dressed as a young Harry, Graham was more interested in the costume contest than actually reading the book. In fact, Regina Frank said, "Mom gets dibs on the book." Alice Starks Keller, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 7 a.m.


She is survived by her husband, Allen M. Keller; one son, Henry “Hank” Gage and his wife Kizzy; four sisters, Carolyn Davis and her husband, Obra Sr., Gladys Keys, Connie Carter, and Margaret Domino and her husband, Alex Jr.; three brothers, James Starks and his wife Hazel, Donald Starks and his wife Lydia, and Ronald and Saundra Starks; four brothers-in-law, Edwin Walker, Sr., Lloyd Young, Sr., Calvin Keller, and Frank Keller; one sister-in-law, Joyce Lapeyrolerie; one granddaughter, Megan Washington; one grandson, Tyreek Gage; and numerous relatives.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Hazel Starks; two brothers, George and Norman Starks; and three sisters, Brenda Young, Delores Jones, and Joann Walker.

Alice was a retired teacher with 33 years in the Lafourche Parish School System and was a member of the Southern “Jaguar” Alumni Terrebonne Chapter and the Terrebonne Lions Club.

Visitation is Friday, July 20, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Thibodaux and Saturday, July 21, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral to follow at St. Luke Catholic Church in Thibodaux. She will be buried in St. Joseph Mausoleum.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of the arrangements.
