Mrs. Alice McCarthy Naquin, 89, a native of Pierre Part, La., and a resident of Chackbay, La., died at 1:10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2006.


Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. John Catholic Church in Thibodaux.


Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetary.

She is survived by four sons, Curtis, Jimmy, Carlos, and Willie McCarthy; three daughters, Margaret Granier, Mary Ann Granier, and Adrice Crawford; one brother, Dalvas Hebert; one stepbrother, Galbert Hebert; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie J. McCarthy; her second husband, Thomas Naquin; her parents, Octave and Justilia Landry Hebert; three brothers, Dudley, Adoulf, and Dalton Hebert; one stepbrother, Herman Hebert; and two sisters, Enola Vaughn and Lillian Leonard.

She was a Catholic and a parishioner of the St. John Catholic Church.
