Alice Rae Daigle Toups, 86, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, January 7, at 3:32 p.m.


She is survived by her son, Alfred J. Toups Jr. of Baton Rouge, La.; daughters, Beryl T. Odom and husband Ron of Gadsden, Al., and Bonnie T. Boudreaux and husband Pat of Houma; sister, Sybil Laborde Metrailer of Alexandria, La.; and grandchildren, Laura Catherine Odom, Rachel Marie Odom, David Lawrence Odom and Philip Patrick Boudreaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emile Andrew Daigle and Lottie Mary Vice Daigle; her husband, Alfred Joseph Toups Sr.; and brother, Myron A. Daigle.


She was a retired purchasing clerk for Terrebonne General Medical Center. She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral and a member of Catholic Daughters of America.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the food bank at 254 Magnolia Street in Houma.

Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday January 9, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
