Allen Augustin Hamilton, 96, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012.
Mr. Hamilton retired after 50 years as a machinist at Hamilton’s Machine Shop. He was Catholic and an usher at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church. He played the trumpet and guitar.
He is survived by his son, Allen Hamilton; daughters, Lucia Haywood, Genevia (Robert) Middleton, Carmen Robinson. Marian Hamilton, Valerie (Ian) Gray and Nanacy (Roger) Laughman; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucia Hamilton; parents, Willie and Clara Hamiltn; brothers, Forakker, Charles Sr., Willie and Peter Sr. Hamilton; and sister, Marcella Hamilton.
Burial was at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Church Cemetery. (Community)
