Almeta Ward, 85, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 3:20 a.m. Sunday, January 18.
She is survived by her son, John Earl Jackson of Corpus Christi, Tx.; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Jackson; her parents, Charlie and Viola Steward Ward; two brothers, E.C. Ward and Joseph Ward; and one sister, Viola M. Bellot.
She was a retired technician and a member of The Church of God.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 19, at The Church of God, with burial at Southdown Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
