Alter Mae Steward, 81, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Raymond Steward Sr.; sons, Raymond Jr. (Gina), Chris and Ken (Desiree) Steward and Donald (Mary) Williams; daughter, Doris Coffee; sister, Daisy (Charlie) Wallace; brother, Haywood Sr. (Rose) Williams; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ollie Williams; brothers, Alvin Jr., Hayes, James, Alton Sr., Ronnie and Nathan Williams; and sister, Vergie Stimley.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at St. Peter Baptist Church in Montegut, La., with services to follow. Burial will be at Bisland Cemetery. (Jones)
