August “Gus” Rodrigue, 89, a native of Chackbay, La., and resident of Vacherie, La., died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.
Mr. Rodrigue was retired from Avondale Shipyard.
He is survived by his son, Perry (Theresa) Rodrigue; daughter, Susan (Anthony) Duet; brother, Wally Rodrigue; sister, Shirley (Walter) Thibodaux; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Rodrigue; parents, Augustlia Legendre and Victor Rodrigue; brothers, Horace, Simon and Elton Sr. Rodrigue; sisters, Victoria Rodrigue and Mary Kliebert; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial is at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Cemetery in Vacherie. (Thibodaux)
