Amay Pitre St. Pierre, 87, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, La., passed away Saturday, July 11, at her residence.


She is survived by her son, Pershing “P.J.” St. Pierre Jr. and wife Beverly; three daughters, Dianna Terrebonne and husband Rodney “P.T.”, Jannette Brunet and husband Andrew “T-Tan”, and Robbin Martin and husband Dennis; one brother, Roland Pitre Sr.; two sisters, Norma Lafont and Alfrancis Martin; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Marcess F. Pitre Sr.; two brothers, Leewood Pitre and Thomas Pitre Jr.; one granddaughter, Tricia Martin; and one great-great-granddaughter, Theresa Guidry.

She was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and the Ladies of LaSalette. She was a retired business owner of a restaurant and a service station.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, July 13, and 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, La. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow with entombment at the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
