September 12, 2011Amy Gorsha Robicheaux, 78, a native of Avoca Island, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011.
Mrs. Robicheaux was a great wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and spent time with her.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Merwyn Robicheaux; son, Mark (Melissa) Robicheaux; grandchildren, Zane, Brynn (Jeremy) Crady and Carla (Jeremy) Foret; and great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Robicheaux.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emily Gorsha; daughter, Michelle Hinkle; and siblings, Jakey, NJ, Russel, Shirly and Denver Gorsha, Bessy Zeyzus, Thelma Mula, Geneva Carpenter and Eldora Simmons.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City with a memorial service to follow. (Twin City)
