Anthony “Tammy” Adams, 90, a native and resident of Larose, La. died Friday, October 26, 2007, at 5:10 a.m.

He is survived by his son, Wayne Adams and his wife Melinda; one daughter, Janine Falgout; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise “Louise” Savoie Adams; his parents, Alphonse and Justelia Orgeron Adams; one daughter, Janice Adams Hartman; four brothers, Justilten, John, Edwey, and Harris Adams; and five sisters, Luncia Lerille, Lenora Ledet, Emily Loupe, Nola Federine, and Julie Bye.

Anthony was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Larose. He served is country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, and the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, and spoiling his grandchildren. He retired from Avondale Shipyard.

Visitation is Monday, October 29, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Larose. He will be buried in the church cemetery.
