Haiti’s hardship helped by local charities

February 15, 2010Aubrey Joseph Benoit, 71, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, surrounded by family.
Mr. Benoit was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He owned Benoit’s Plumbing.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Allemand Benoit; daughters, Dena Guidry, Gale Rodrigue and Michele Gros; sons, Chad Benoit and Michael Morvant; brother, Ronald Benoit; sisters, Dorothy Chiasson and Syliva Thibodaux; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evest Benoit and Elia Chiasson Benoit; and brothers, Lawrence and Donald Benoit.
