Audrey Mae Cheatham Johnson

Audrey Mae Cheatham Johnson, 70, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011.

Ms. Johnson was a homemaker and member of St. Phillip Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy King, Roxanne Ross, Elouise Johnson and Valerie (Lionel) Walker; sons, Leroy, Chris, Louis Jr. and Kevin (Shrishona) Johnson; sisters, Laura Holloway, Donna (Percy) Smith, Jaxqueline Johnson and Linila (Louis) West; 29 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her companion, Joseph Lee; parents, Irvin and Mary Cheatham; daughter, Agnes Johnson; son, Lionel Johnson Sr.; eight brothers; and five sisters.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Thibodaux and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at St. Phillip Baptist Church in Labadieville with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Williams & Southall)
