Ayres Arcement Champagne, 82, a resident and native of Raceland, La., died at 12:12 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23,2006.
Visitation will be held at 10 to 12 p.m. funeral time Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Alcide “Champ”, “A.J.” Champagne; one son, Paul Champagne from Raceland; two daughters, Joy Acosta and husband, Stephen, and Ann Ritchie and husband, Bryan; two sisters, Lois LeCompte and Sherry Herring; 7 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Nollie Arcement, Jr.
She was a parishoner of St. Mary Catholic Church, a volunteer for the Good Samaritan Thrift Store, and a retired nurse for 30 years.
In lieu of flowers donations to Good Samaritan Food Bank of Central Lafourche or Lafourche Parish Library.
Arrangements will be made under the direction of Falgout Funeral Home.
