Barbara Bertrand Slone, 73, a native of Miami, Fla., and resident of Patterson, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011.
Mrs. Slone previously owned Slone’s Dump Truck Service and for the last eight years has enjoyed her part-time work as a travel consultant at Cajun Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau in Franklin, La. She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Morgan City, La.
She is survived by her children, Leisha Bertrand, Torri Simoneaux, John (Melissa) Bertrand and Hollyn (Mark) Chellette; brother, Norton (Peggy) Stafford; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Slone.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Morgan City with mass to follow. Burial will be at Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery in Patterson. (Ibert’s)
