Barbara Dugas Jackson, 68, died Tuesday, April 15.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, William “Sonny” Jackson; children, Sherri Jackson of Houma, La., Angele Conque and husband, Clint, of Conway, Ar., Sunny Raye Bourgeois and husband, Troy, of Houma and Hud Jackson and wife, Patricia, of Conway; grandchildren, Mason and Brannon Thompson of Houma, Chasse Conque of Little Rock, Ar., Benton and Zachary Conque of Conway, Brogan Bourgeois of Houma, and Alexis, William and Baleigh Jackson of Conway; sisters, Kathy Dugas of Patterson, La. and Collette Canty and husband, Merlin, of Patterson; brother, Clifton “Dugie” Dugas and wife, Tinker, of Lafayette, La.; and she will be sadly missed by her pet dog, Starr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irby and Tippy Dugas; sister, Idell Dugas; her mother-in-law, Opal Hudgins; and her father-in-law, William Jackson.

Mrs. Jackson’s family expresses their deepest gratitude to Vallie Collins and Lolita Henry, her loving and devoted caregivers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Action Network or the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux, La. A celebration of Mrs. Jackson’s life will follow with food and fellowship.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
