Benson “Benny” Toups, 97, a native of Donner, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died at 8:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011.
Mr. Toups was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews, La.
He is survived by his son, Benson Jr. (Joan) Toups; daughters, Jacqualine (Emile Jr.) Borne, Patricia (Wilbert Jr.) Duplantis, Peggy (Lawrence Jr.) Wiltz, Brenda Ward and Edna (Steve) Plaisance; 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Toups; parents, Albert and Albertine Toups; brother, Albert Toups; sisters, Jeanne Scott and May Baudoin; and one grandchild.
Burial was at Resurrection Memorial Park Cemetery in Mathews. (Falgout)
