May 20, 2014Bernard Evans Carter Sr., 58, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died Monday, May 12, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Foote-Carter; children, Bernard Jr. and Nykea Carter; sister, Jearnee’ Dumas; brothers, Gregory, Torrey and Charles IV Carter; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Carter; parents, Charles III and Bernadine Carter; grandparents, Charles and Martha Carter and Earl Sr. and Beatrice Hartman; and brother, Wendell Carter Sr.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Residence Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at Union Benevolent (St. John) Cemetery. (Jones)
