Bertha Mae Blanchard, 72, a native of Chauvin, La. and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016.


Bertha was a member of the Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana and a bingo worker for Ward 7 Citizens Club.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Chauvin; daughters, Veronica (Gerald) Breaux, Fredia (Blaine) Parfait, Sr., Tammy Blanchard and former son-in-law, Timmy Boudreaux; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Linda), Carroll (Gertie), Carl (Jane) and Ralph (Robin) Chauvin; sisters, Sandra (Mike) Terrebonne) and Marian Palmisano; brother-in-law, Norman Blanchard; sisters-in-law, Jean (Jennings) Authement and Andrea Blanchard; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Burial is at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
