Bertile Dufrene Bownds, 85, a native of St. Charles Parish, LA. and resident of Paradis, LA., died at 11:31 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2007.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Charles Cemetery in Luling, LA.
She is survived by one brother, Harris Dufrene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Moda Bownds; her parents, Joseph and Argentine Dufrene; five brothers, Alvin, Louis, Lawrence, Harry and Ernest Dufrene; and five sisters, Alida Barrios, Cecile Tamburello, Ella Dufrene, Mildred Reed and Irene Hano.
She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
