Betty Lou Pitre Shavor, 81, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, March 25, 2014.
Mrs. Shavor was the heart of the family bonding the children and making sure each one felt her love. Her biggest achievement was the happy home of the Shavor family.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana Martin, Brenda Griffin, Linda Thibodaux and Mary Pino; sons, Michael, David and James Shavor; sister, Bertha Tassin; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer Shavor; parents, Wallace and Stella Pitre; and siblings, Cleveland, Benson, Stanley, Wally, Annabelle, Annamae and Marie Pitre, Annelle Baye, Ezola Fazzio, Eula Rodrigue and Mildred Thomassie.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux with mass to follow. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
