Beverly Folse, 80, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Bayou Vista, La., passed away Monday, Oct. 12.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Folse of Bayou Vista; one son, Kim Folse and wife Michelle of Morgan City, La.; one daughter, Jaimie Folse of Houma; and two grandchildren, Jacob Folse and wife Kayla, and Andrew Folse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruffin and Lois Ellender Prevost Sr.; and one brother, Ruffin Prevost Jr.

She was an amazing wife, mother and friend. She had a loving personality and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed the time spent with all the gang at AARP. She was the kind of lady that would do anything and everything for all sometimes even before they asked for her help. Beverly was the co-author of “Sleeping Residents of Morgan City”, a book that is dedicated to the genealogy of those laid to rest at the Morgan City Cemetery. She worked for quite a number of years on her research for the book. In her younger years she was an all-star in basketball where she was instrumental in leading her high school team. She was Catholic, a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, and a longtime member and past president of the Altar Society.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 1100 Parthenon Place, New Caney, Texas, 77357 or American Diabetes Foundation, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexander, Va. 22311.
