Bonnie “B.A.C.A. Catlady” Doggett, 61, a native of Bakersfield, Ca., and a resident of Gray, La., died Saturday, May 10.

She is survived by her husband, Robert “B.A.C.A. Before her death, Bonnie “B.A.C.A. Catlady” Doggett was a member of Bikers Against Child Abuse, a local nonprofit organization for the good of children in our community. Her journey with B.A.C.A. began two years ago. She started riding her Harley for the children of our parish. You could recognize her by the B.A.C.A. back patch, which she wore proudly. Catlady empowered abused children in our area to not feel afraid in the world in which they live. She stood ready to shield abused children from any further abuse. Her work here is done. She has left behind the miracles of her love for the children of earth and begins a new mission of now caring for the children in heaven. She is an angel. She will be forever in our hearts. Bonnie “B.A.C.A. Cat Lady” Doggett will be sadly missed by her husband, family, friends, loved ones and B.A.C.A. sisters and B.A.C.A. brothers.

Visitation will be11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La. with a memorial service to follow.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
