Brook A. Bouvier, 50, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died Sunday, Oct. 11, at 3:01 p.m.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Debra Hebert Bouvier; three children, Maria Bouvier Verret and husband Josh, Elizabeth Bouvier Guidroz and husband John, and Brook A. Bouvier Jr. and wife April Lucido Bouvier; five grandchildren, Talon, Taylor and Tallie Verret, and Brooke and Nathan Guidroz; parents, Alfred and Jeannette Bouvier; two brothers, Rodney J. Bouvier Sr. and wife Shentel, and Barney J. Bouvier and wife Becky; two sisters, Ramona Bouvier Douglas and husband Calvin, and Madonna Bouvier Newill and Bobby; 10 nephews; six nieces; and seven great-nieces and nephews.


He was employed by the Lafourche Parish School Board and was a school bus driver for the special ed and handicap children. He drove for 23 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also ran Bouvier’s Upholstery for 23 years. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Lockport congregation. He loved and was loved by all who knew him. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport followed by a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Lockport.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
